Testonica Lab is a young technology company founded in 2005 as a spin-off of Tallinn University of Technology. The company positions itself as a think-tank, a knowledge intensive team capable of solving complex challenges. Half of Testonica Lab team members are either PhD students or PhD degree holders. Testonica Lab is capable of running complex R&D projects combining professional experience in software engineering with deep technological experience in microelectronics testing.
In 2008, Testonica Lab has joined the Estonian national Competence Center in Electronics, Info and Communication Technologies ELIKO, where it drives an R&D project "Test, verification and diagnosis of distributed and embedded systems" in cooperation with Tallinn University of Technology. The main objective of the project is to develop innovative software and hardware solutions in the aforementioned field.
In 2005-2006, Testonica Lab participated in development of a unique measurement environment for CMOS defects called DefSim (http://defsim.testonica.com). This project was performed in cooperation with Tallinn University of Technology, Warsaw University of Technology and Slovak University of Technology. The equipment and software were disseminated among about 30 European universities.
The company provides engineering services and develops its own tool platform in the field of system test and diagnostics. Testonica Lab is a GATE partner of Goepel Electronics GmbH, which is a global leader in board test and debug technology, equipment and tools. This partnership resulted in an intensive mutual cooperation on R&D projects.
Testonica Lab is constantly developing and increasing its portfolio of engineering services and extends the customer base. The company is aimed at fast growth through its global network of business contacts and technological expertise. Currently the exports constitute about 50% of the company sales, and we expect further growth of the exported products and services in year 2010 and beyond.
